About me

Where do I come from?

Hello, I am heidelmaus, born in Germany in 1972, living near Heidelberg.

Even as a child, I was told I should become an artist. But when it came to choosing my education, I initially decided against the uncertain path of art and opted for a supposedly secure profession.
After a long period of illness, years of art therapy and an intensive search for what really does me good, I finally decided to give the artist in me a chance. This is how heidelmaus came into being in 2025.

What am I, and what is my art?

There are two sides to me, an artist and a scientist. I am a creator and an explorer, fascinated by penetrating things, recognising their core and transforming them into new ideas and real objects. This duality is particularly reflected in my paintings: in the combination of rational and emotional elements, in the experimental diversity. With my paintings, I want to fascinate, explore beauty and harmony, and capture positive emotions.
